Sharjah City Tour

We begin our tour with the visit to the iconic Al Noor Mosque ( Mosque of Lights), the most  magnificent out of nearly 600 mosques, currently operating in the Emirate of Sharjah. Located in the  heart of famous Al Buhaira Corniche this architectural masterpiece is influenced by the classical Turkish  Ottoman architecture, reminiscent of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque. It’s currently the only mosque in Sharjah  to open its doors to non-Muslims.
We are welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates and greeted by a prominent Emirati cultural  ambassador. During this enthralling and educational visit you will hear more about Islam and the  culture of the UAE. A question and answer session to exchange ideas completes the visit.

explore the Heart of Sharjah. Step into Souq Al Arsah, probably the oldest market place in the UAE and  begin a journey back in time. Walk along the comfortably air-conditioned alleyways of the market  which is home to numerous quaint stores selling local, new and antique handicrafts, Arabic bridal and  pearl chests, ethnic and handmade jewelry, perfume bottles and incense, palm-leaf baskets and  shawls.

Then Sharjah Fort, also known as Al Hisn Fort. It was built in 1823 and used to be the residence of the  Qawasim ruling family as well as government headquarter.

Situated right at the historical heart of Sharjah, the fascinating Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization  started its life as traditional Middle Eastern souq or indoor market. Renovated and re-opened in 2008,

We conclude our visit with a short stop at Souq Al Jubail, a newly opened state of the art market place.  Inspired by the impressive heritage of Islamic architecture, the Souq accommodates a wide range of  shops for visitors to enjoy.
